Ronkonkoma Cardinals Can’t Quite Erase 4-Run Deficit In Loss To Freedom Baseball

Ronkonkoma Cardinals’s effort to come back from down four runs in the sixth inning came up just short, as they fell 7-6 to Freedom Baseball on Sunday. Ronkonkoma Cardinals scored three runs in the failed comeback on a walk by Dylan R, a fielder’s choice by Anthony V, and a stolen base by Thomas F.

Ronkonkoma Cardinals was right in it until Freedom Baseball singled in the sixth inning.

In the first inning, Ronkonkoma Cardinals got their offense started. Thomas drove in one when he singled.

Freedom Baseball knotted the game up at three in the top of the fifth inning. J C singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

J led things off on the pitcher’s mound for Freedom Baseball. He went four innings, allowing three runs on four hits and striking out five.

Thomas led things off on the mound for Ronkonkoma Cardinals. He surrendered three runs on four hits over four and a third innings, striking out seven and walking one. Alexander A threw one and two-thirds innings out of the bullpen.

John Anthony F went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Ronkonkoma Cardinals in hits. Ronkonkoma Cardinals stole six bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Thomas led the way with two.

J led Freedom Baseball with three hits in four at bats. J led Freedom Baseball with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with ten stolen bases. Freedom Baseball was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. J had the most chances in the field with one.
