Longwood Lions Claims Victory Over Freedom Baseball

Freedom Baseball got things moving in the first inning. Azzaretto singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

In the bottom of the first inning, Longwood Lions tied things up at two when Stephen M drew a walk, scoring one run.

After Freedom Baseball scored two runs in the top of the third, Longwood Lions answered with two of their own. Freedom Baseball scored when Azzaretto’s sac fly scored one run for Freedom Baseball and Lynch grounded out, scoring one run. Longwood Lions then answered when Ralph B singled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.

Longwood Lions pulled away for good with five runs in the second inning. In the second Jaden U singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs, Ryan M drew a walk, scoring one run, Timothy K was hit by a pitch, driving in a run, and Stephen’s sac fly scored one run for Longwood Lions.

Daniel B led things off on the pitcher’s mound for Longwood Lions. He allowed four hits and four runs over three innings, striking out two.

A C led things off on the mound for Freedom Baseball. He allowed zero hits and two runs. Plitt and Treble entered the game from the bullpen, throwing three and two-thirds innings and one and one-third innings respectively.

Longwood Lions totaled ten hits in the game. Ralph, Luke R, Vincent S, and Jaden all had multiple hits for Longwood Lions. Jaden, Vincent, Luke, and Ralph all had two hits to lead Longwood Lions. Longwood Lions was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Daniel made the most plays with two.

Fajardo led Freedom Baseball with two hits in two at bats.
