Great Weekend For Freedom Baseball!

Freedom Baseball had a great weekend in their Tournaments this past weekend.

Here are the weekend recaps:

Freedom 13u

13u was riding a 4 game win streak heading into this weekends tournament (War at The Shore – East Lyme, CT), and took care of business in the 1st pool play game winning 18-0 against the Central MA Energy Americans. In game 2, they faced a tough Darien Blue Hawks team, losing 11-2. In the playoffs, Freedom 13u got right back to work and defeated the Central MA Energy Americans again, by a score of 17-2, to reach the championship game against the Darien Blue Hawks, but lost 11-3.

16u opened their tournament play (War at The Shore – East Lyme, CT), against the Northeast Pride. Freedom had a great game firing on all cylinders, winning 8-3. In game two, Freedom faced a tough Rye Grays team and dropped that game 4-2. In the playoffs, Freedom 16u blew out the Baseball U CT White, 11-3 to move onto the Championship Game! In the Championship Game, they took on the Northeast Pride again, and in a tight game Freedom lost 3-1.

17u was back in action this past weekend and played in the Baseball Heaven’ Mid-Atlantic Showdown in a tournament of 24 teams! Freedom took on the East Coast Cobras in their 1st game and lost a close one 4-3. After that game, Freedom Baseball 17u got hot and won their next 3 games, by scores of 4-0, 6-2, and 8-0! They defeated the Castle Hill RBI Coyotes, Stamford Thunder, and CT Blue Thunder in those games! In their 2nd game in the playoffs, Freedom faced a tough Rockland Royals team, and lost a back/forth game by a score of 6-4. (Rockland went on to win the tournament).

It was a great showing from all of these teams this past weekend! Great balance of offense, defense, and pitching! We still have some work to do, but be proud on how you played this past weekend boys! Plenty of season left, and keep making noise!!
