Freedom 15U scores more runs than Diamond Spikes 15U, takes victory on Sunday to the tune of 7-2. In the first inning, Freedom 15U got their offense started. Nicholas Capone drove in one when he doubled.In the bottom of the first inning, Diamond Spikes 15U tied things up at one. #30 singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run. After Freedom 15U scored one run in the top of the seventh, Diamond Spikes 15U answered with one of their own. Freedom 15U scored when Capone grounded out, scoring one run. Diamond Spikes 15U then answered when #15 singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run. Freedom 15U pulled away for good with one run in the third inning. In the third Mortimer Anthony tripled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.Freedom 15U notched three runs in the fifth inning. Anthony had an RBI double in the inning to lead the run scoring. Yendy Hernandez led things off on the hill for Freedom 15U. He allowed six hits and two runs over six and a third innings, striking out nine. Anthony went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Freedom 15U in hits. Freedom 15U was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Jordan Rodriguez made the most plays with nine.
